Millions of people are using these two amazing techniques to improve their long-term memory! | 2020

For some people storing information in their long term memory can be quiet difficult, especially when they are trying to remember it.

The weird thing is, the very same people are can accurately recall some distant past memories of approx 5 or 10 years ago and they don't even try to remember it.

The info just pops in their mind, sort of like it's stuck!.

So why this happens?

This happens because those memories from decades ago contain a strong mixture of pictures, actions & emotions associated with that incident.

So when we feel a certain feeling or see a certain thing, it serves as a trigger to help us recall the incident associated with that feeling or thing.

That's the reason why we are even able to recall a large amount of info of distant past's incident but forget to recall things that just happened yesterday.

For example:-

This must-have happened to you during a conversation with a friend.

He/she is telling you a sad story about themselves, after listening to some words you suddenly recall an event or story that happened to you too. it goes like this,

"Oh from that I also just remembered something happened to me too!

even if that event occurred years ago, right?

Or

You might have seen a devastating accident & when someone mentions the word accident you instantly recall it.

Can we improve long-term memory by using the same principles?

The simple answer is yes!

You can improve your long-term memory with the help of the same principles & we are exactly going to utilize these things to improve your long-term memory.

Let it be clear in your head, you can greatly enhance your long-term memory by involving actions & emotions in your stories whether they are real or created with by your imagination!

We wanna make long-term memory more powerful, so we have to use this awesome tool available to us known as spaced repetition.

Spaced repetition:-

It's not your regular repetition where after forgetting you open up the book & again begin to repeat the contents, in order to memorize.

Spaced repetition is a type of reviewing technique, in which you just go to the locations where you have stored data in the form of pictures & review them in breaks like this:-

After memorizing first, you review it immediately after learning, then after an hour, then after a day, then after a week, after month, after 3 months & finally after 6 months.

By following through this pattern of reviewing info, you will be able to send that info in your long term memory and it will become solid knowledge that you can recall easily even after decades.

Memory palace:-

To utilize spaced repetition, we gotta have locations to store info for later retrieval.

I do this pro-efficiently with the help of a famous memory technique known as the memory palace and when I can, I believe you can too.

Memory palace helps you memorize, repeat & store almost infinite amounts of data with just little effort!

So if you are troubled for not having enough locations to store data. I would recommend you to learn this awesome technique.

The great thing about this technique is, it's far easier to learn and implement than you think.

Also, there are literally so many benefits to it too, just learn it you won't regret it!

Conclusion:-

As I have always stressed, "better imagination and emotional involvement lead to be greater recall".

If you are creative enough to able to use these two things together effectively,

for tasks or things you intend to keep in your long-term memory, then my friend you have achieved one helluva thing!

Because by using these two techniques in synergy you can memorize various different things.

i.e:- speeches, scripts, playing cards, books, jokes, languages, vocabulary, test questions, prepare for exams & much more!

One more thing as for anything, practice is necessary!

Be sure to practice these techniques, so you can use these techniques effectively when needed.

Otherwise, you may discover some loose ends during your main memorization task that can prove to be troublesome and

can potentially waste your precious time fixing them, when you should be concentrating on the main task.
