Why major system was devised?

Major system/major mnemonic system is basically the ultimate memorization system & has been continuously used & improved for almost 300 years.Major system was devised for master memorizers to break the record of previous excellent but limited memory systems like:- number-shape,number-rhyme,alphabet memory systems etc.

These master memorizers wanted to memorize not only more than a limited amount of info, but for also as long as they wanted, & at the same time they also wanted to memorize dates, numbers etc.

The superb thing about major system is, you can keep increasing it's pegs.in other words, you can build countless pegs to hold your data.it's the reason it's also called the ultimate memorization technique.

Uses of major system:-

You can use major system to memorize lists, speeches, jokes, books, long numbers, telephone numbers, dates, appointmements & much more with only 1 technique that's insane!. The most awesome thing about major system is you can literally create unlimited pegs to hold information.

So basically what i am trying to say that you can use major system to memorize anything! Yes anything!

How it works?

Major system is a very effective but a little complicated memorization technique to learn.The basic concept of major system is to use different consonants or their sounds for each digit from 0 to 9 in a special code.

The major system code:-

0 = z,s,soft c.

1 = d,t.

2 = n.

3 = m.

4 = r.

5 = l.

6 = j,sh,soft g,soft ch.

7 = k,hard c,hard ch and g.

8 = f,v.

9 = b,p.

As you can see, major system has it's own memorization system.At first, i had problems in memorizing it's pattern, but i came up with a solution to memorize it's pattern with another easy memory system/technique, which is number-rhyme system with that you will find it super easy to memorize it.

The vowels a,e,i,o,u & letters h,w,y have not words associated with them because, they will be used as blanks to complete the key-memory images which we are about to create.

:-Key memory image = a image we create with our imagination to associate info we wanna retrieve later. 

For example:-

if we take number 14, we have two substitutes for (1) which are (d & t) & for (4) we have (r), simply now we can say 14 = dr, for creating key memory image for dr, we have make use of vowels & semi vowels.

by making use of vowels & semi vowels, we can come up with certain words & make them our key memory images to recall our data such as:- door, dear, deer, dare etc.visualization of these words is the key for optimally using this awesome technique & be sure to choose only 1 key image for any 1 digit & use only that image every time for that digit or digits. 

i.e:- if you have decided deer to be your key memory image for 14 = dr, then always be sure to use only this key image.avoid using other words dare, door etc. 

Now i want you to create your own 1st 10 key memory images for your major system:-

How to use it for memorization?

Just like any other memory system, you have to link the item you want to remember with the key memory image you created via your imagination.

for example:-

you wanna remember tomatoes.my #1 is tea so i will just link tea with tomato.

I am sitting on a cafe ordered a cup of tea, the waiter arrives holding big cup but instead of tea, it has red tomato juice in it.when i taste to confirm it tastes like tomato & i report that waiter ;).

you might now think all is fine & good but how would i create pegs for my major system? so let me help you develop your first 100 pegs of major system.
